We have a little over 5 days until the BIG day, National Signing Day. I know a lot of things can change between now and then, but I am gonna answer all of your questions to the best of my ability.
Will Darius Robinson be open to changing his mind and come to AU if Clemson steals Keenan Allen from UAT which looks more likely everyday? I think a lot of things have to happen for Darius Robinson to sign with Auburn but it's definitely a possibility. Do you believe Lattimore has NFL aspirations from what you have heard? If so do you think that would lean him our way? The first part of this question isn't that hard to answer. YES! I also do believe that Lattimore is leaning pretty heavily towards Auburn. With Thorton more likely than not signing with UGA, do you think that gives Auburn a better shot with Whitaker? I don't think it really matters either way because I believe Whitaker ends up at Auburn no matter where Thornton goes. What's the deal with Ambles? Right now the Ambles family is laying pretty low. Markeith has said several times that he will visit either Auburn or LSU this weekend. I guess we will see. If he visits Auburn, I do believe they will be the team to beat. As of right now, I believe USC is the team to beat. Does Lattimore (when we get him) and Dyer have the potential to be as good as Ronnie/Cadillac? On paper the two of them have a lot of upside. We will have to wait and see how it plays out but I would give them a great shot at becoming the next 1A-1B punch in the Auburn backfield. Do you think Spurrier will throw his visor down if we sign Lattimore? I do believe he will throw his visor. He already threw it once when Mack put on an Auburn one. So I guess on February 2nd he will be throwing it for a 2nd time this recruiting season. Do you think this will be the best recruiting class Auburn has seen in it's history? This class is definitely shaping up to be the best in Auburn's history. Can you tell us the top three commits that you believe will have an immediate impact and why? Roszell Gayden - I believe he has the size and athleticism to step right in and start at the vacant Tackle position. Jeffrey Whitaker - Auburn needs help at the DT position really bad and he has the ability to come in and earn a good bit of playing time. Cameron Newton - What can I say? His arm, feet and leadership skills. He will come in and make an immediate impact at the QB position. I can't narrow it to just 3 so I would like to throw in the WHOLE LB class because we all know we need bodies at that position. Does Auburn still have interests in Vic Beasley? I do believe Auburn still has interests in Beasley but things can change daily. If he visits this weekend, I would feel very good about him. Who do I believe we finish with? As of right now, I would say Jones, Whitaker, Lemonier, Lattimore, and possibly one more. If I had to say on the last spot I wouldn't even know where to start because there are so many names out there. I am still a little iffy on Jones but I am going with my gut feeling. I know as of right now its 50/50 and I would feel a lot better if Arkansas wouldn't have offered his teammate Alan Turner, but that's what Arkansas thought they had to do to have a great chance at landing Jones.
